The Russian Museum opened in the Mikhailovsky Castle (Sadovaya str.,2) a new exposition "Dream as Reality".
The exhibition is intended to provide a variety of imaginative interpretations of the theme of sleep and dreams in the Russian art. Such various aspects of this topic as everyday, philosophical, metaphorical and religious, are revealed in the paintings, sculptures and graphic works of the 18th – the beginning of the 19th century from the collection of the Russian Museum. The exhibition will include works by such artists as I.Prokofyev, F.Sсhedrin, K.Bryullov, А. Venetsianov, M.Vrubel, А.Ryabushkin, А.Golubkina, Н.Sapunov, А.Matveev, Е.Moiseenko, V. Popkov, T.Nazarenko, O. Bulgakova and the others.
The exposition is available till the end of January every day from 10 am till 6 pm, except Tuesday.
